PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject drink easily usable, improving swallowing in various medicines, alternative to common drinking water, and also hampering no medicinal virtues, by including water and a paste material into a viscous liquid or gel-like form. SOLUTION: This medicine swallowing-aiding drink is obtained by including (A) 80.0-99.9 wt.% of water (pref. suitable to drinking use, e.g. tap water, any ion-exchanged water, purified water), (B) 0.1-5.0 wt.% of a paste material (pref. agar-agar, carrageenan, gelan gum, furcellaran, gelatin, pectin, alginic acid (salt), (modified) starch), and (C), as necessary, a gelling promoter, saccharide (s) and/or other additive (s),to form a viscous liquid pref. 1,000-25,000 cP in viscosity at 20 deg.C or a gel pref. 10-100 g/cm<2> in jelly strength at 20 deg.C. |
