PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing with which proper supply of a lubricating oil to inside the bearing is established and thereby a reduction of the bearing temp. and enhancement of the anti-seizure characteristic are accomplished. SOLUTION: When a spindle 1 rotates with starting of the device operation, the inner ring 7 rotates in a single piece with the spindle 1, and at the same time, conical rollers 13 roll between the inner ring 7 and outer ring 11. At this time, centrifugal force is applied to the oil 29 and air in conical roller bearing owing to the rotation and revolution of the rollers 13, rotation of the inner ring 7, and inclined installation of the rollers 13, and as shown by the arrow, a stream of oil 29 is generated directed from the outer space 23 to the inner space 25. If therein the oil 29 and air flow into the inner space 25 from the outer space 23, an oil pressure difference due to the level difference of the oil surface and/or a pressure difference between the two spaces are produced, so that the oil 29 in the inner space 25 flows back to the outer space 23 via a communication groove 21 provided in the outer ring 11, and it is possible to prevent drop of the oil surface in the outer space 23. |
