PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a case which houses a piezoelectric vibrator in hermetic sealing reliability. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric vibrator housing package is composed of a ceramic base provided with a frame 2 at its upper periphery, a frame-shaped metallized layer 6 deposited on the upside of the frame 2, a metal frame 7 brazed to the metallized layer 6, and a lid 3 welded to the metal fame 7, wherein the housing package hermetically houses a piezoelectric vibrator inside, and a peripheral region of the frame-shaped metallized layer 6 is covered with a ceramic coating layer 9 which is at least as wide as 30μm.
