<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve aptitude as a positive electrode material by using composite oxide which is provided with a crystal structure showing a spinel structure and consists of Li and Mn. SOLUTION: A lithium-manganese compound is a composite oxide represented by a chemical formula of Lix Mn2 O4 (1.00<=x<=1.15). In manufacture of this composite oxide, an electrolyte, in which manganese oxide is suspended in manganese sulfate solution at a ratio of 0.01-1.0 g/l, is prepared, and then, electrolyzed so as to produceγtype electrolyzed manganese dioxide with a BET specific surface area of 35 m<2> /g or less, and this electrolyzed manganese dioxide is desirably used as a manganese material. Then, a Li compound is mixed with the electrolyzed manganese dioxide obtained in this way. As the Li compound, lithium carbonate and the like are available. As to a mixture ratio of these compounds, the Li compound is mixed with the Mn compound at a ratio of 1.00-1.15:2. Subsequently, the mixture is fired at a firing temperature of 550-850 deg.C for 5-24 hours.</p> |
