PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition which has comprehensive depilatory preventability, hair restoriung facilitative effect and inhibitory effect on dandruff and itch and in addition is useful as a hair growing material capable of directly acting on papilla pili cells and hair follicle epithelial cells by formulating an extract from a specific plant as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by formulating an extract from a plant belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae the genus Croton, e.g. preferably Croton birmanicus Mueli Arg. and the like, as an active ingredient preferably in an amount of 0.001-10.0 wt.% on the basis of the dry product. The above extract is obtained by immersing the whole grass, e.g. leaves, stems containing subterranean stems, roots, fruits and barks, into an extracting solvent such as methanol and the like or refluxing it together with the extracting solvent followed by filtration and concentration. This composition can be prepared in dosage forms of tonic, hair cream and mousse. |
