FIELD: agriculture; digging in medium textured and soft textured soils. SUBSTANCE: shank handle of shovel are oval in cross section and conical in length providing equal bending strength over entire length of handle. Telescopic connection of hand grip with handle provides operation with variable and fixed length of handle. Slice of soil can be separated from monolith on long arm, and lifting of slice is done easily on short arm which decreases labour input when digging shovel. Fixed version can be adapted to height of worker. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, possibility of use of proposed construction for fork. 1 dwg
