FIELD: part surface strengthening by shot blasting and ultrasonic treatment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes ultrasonic transducer with wave guide whose end is provided with axially symmetrical seat for placing steel balls. Technological plate is mounted with gap normally relative to wave guide. Holding punch with treated part is mounted in technological plate coaxially relative to wave guide by means of threaded joint. Steel balls form closely packed working medium between walls of wave guide, part surface and seat walls. Dynamometric wrench with device for controlling effort is placed on holding punch. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of part surface due to combination process of shot blasting and ultrasonic treatment of part surface. 3 cl, 3 dwg
