The invention relates to a method and a device for heating mash and wort by means of microwaves. To this end, the microwave generator can be placed both inside and as well as outside the brewing kettle. The power supply of the microwave generator can by supplied for example by a block-type thermal power station. The chemical reaction particularly occurring during mash boiling takes place more quickly due to the intensive and direct energy affect of the microwaves thus enabling a significant reduction of boiling times. |
