Measuring expansion of pressurized reservoir

The reservoir (1) is fixed at its upper pole and is free vertically at its lower pole. Three laser/CCDcamera units (15,16,17) direct light to the reservoir surface and measure the backscattered light at pressure steps. The changing radius is determined using interferometry and uses a data processing system (18) which also controls the pressure source (9) and pressure step control (11). The measurements are expressed in terms of a Fourier series.
