The clip (1) is made in one piece from a semi-rigid plastic material with a curved portion (1a) to go over the cable or pipe. The curved portion is extended on one side by a thick lug (1e) designed to take blows from a hammer or similar tool without damage and without directly affecting the curved covering portion. The underside of the lug is fitted with an anchoring peg (1f) which is driven into a hole in a supporting wall when the lug is struck. The lug is 6-10 mm thick and the same width as the curved portion of the clip, the tip of which has a chamfered edge (1c) for easy fitting.
