Catalyst, used in isocyanate trimerisation

Hydrogen carbonate of a cation is used as catalyst for cyclotrimerisation of isocyanates. The complexed have ionic radius greater than 1 Angstrom and are at least partially soluble in the reaction medium. Hydrogen carbonate of a cation is used as catalyst for cyclotrimerisation of isocyanates. The ions are in the form of a complex with a complexing agent, and have ionic radius greater than 1 Angstrom , preferably greater than 1.5 Angstrom . The ions are at least partially soluble in the reaction medium. An Independent claim is also included for a polyisocyanate composition obtained using the catalyst.
