The safety device, e.g. for a vertically or horizontally sliding door, consists of a hinged bar (5) on the free edge (2a) of the door (2), fitted with a feeler strip (6) of an elastomer of similar material. The bar can be turned on its hinges (4) relative to the door only after the door panel has been raised or opened and locked. The fixed frame surrounding the door panel has a stop (8) situated at a distance of 10 cm from the ground which locks the door if the hinged bar is deflected from its potion in line with the door panel. |
