The hearing aid has a microphone, a loud speaker and a signal processor for processing the input signals of the microphone. The hearing aid has at least one detector element (3) for detecting the level of an input signal and at least one control element (5) for shifting the phase of the input signal or the output signal fed to the loud speaker to suppress feedback. The detector element (3) is preferably formed as a threshold element responsive to reaching an adjustable level. The signal processor may have several channels and the individual channels have detector elements and/or control elements.
