A shuttlecock comprises a one piece skirt consisting of stiffeners 2 and cross ribs 3 of which the rearmost has a fringe 6 formed of extensions integral with the rib, the fringe trailing directly rearwardly or at an angle to the line of flight. The skirt also includes cross flexing ribs 5 and, in the form of a gridiron 4, intermediate stems and minor cross ribs. A freerunning grade of polythene is specified as a suitable material. |
