<p>The present invention relates to the field of engine construction and may be used in the conception and manufacture of parts for internal combustion engines. The purpose of this invention is to optimise the diametrical gaps between the forged piston and the cylinder of an engine, wherein said invention is characterised in that this method comprises measuring the break-away moment of the oil layer at the level of microscopic irregularities. This method further comprises determining the mixed friction mode as well as the continuous and stable contact point and the duration thereof from the rotation angle of the engine crankshaft.</p> |
