<p>An illumination system is disclosed for use in visual inspection of articles placed in an inspection volume comprising a plurality of light sources and a light source control system, wherein light from each of the plurality of light sources illuminates a same central inspection point in the inspection volume and the light source control system controls the intensity of light emitted by any one of the plurality of light sources independently of the intensity of light emitted by any of the other of the plurality of light sources.</p> |
