<p>A masque (10) for use on the face, which contains a coolant including water, a polyhydric alcohol and a water-soluble polymer. The masque (10) is made from two layers (12, 14) of material which are sealed around the periphery, and has cutouts for the eyes (20), nose (22) and mouth (24). The interior space of the masque may be divided into inter-connecting or closed cells by segmenting seals (30). The masque may also be provided with straps (40) to aid attachment to the patient's head.</p> |
