Autothermal gasification of liquid waste

Autothermal gasification of liquid waste ensures less wear on the first burner in the gasifier using a specified waste mixture. Process for the autothermal gasification of liquid waste in a fly stream gasifier comprises: (a) adjusting the waste menu so that the CaO/SiO2 ratio of the slag produced at the end of the gasification is in the region of 0.8-1,5; (b) selecting the amount ratio of the first to the second fuel so that the total lambda of the process is lass than 1; (c) using a multi-lance vapor-atomizing burner consisting of more than 4 single lances, at least one of which is operated with water-containing waste (second fuel) non-miscible with the first fuel; (d) feeding oxygen and vapor to the burner for all fuel lances; (e) feeding the slag-charged cracked gas exiting the refractory-lined reactor to an additionally arranged intensively cooled pipe, which runs directly into the quench nozzle; (f) removing the slag. Each process degeneration is recognized by the increase of the total oxygen/cracked gas ratio to 0.36 Nm3/Nm3.
