The device comprises at least one conveying section consisting of at least one first transport element and at least one second transport element (8), each having a number of pick-up areas (9) for picking up and holding one component (2) each. The pick-up areas of the one transport element are formed by pipette-like vacuum holders. The pick-up areas of the other transport element are formed at apertures in a transport band or transport wheel, which lies with a side opposite the pick-up areas on at least one guide comprising a vacuum channel.
