The invention relates to a diving apparatus, namely a snorkel (1), comprising a snorkel tube with an air intake and exit opening (3) and a mouthpiece (2). The snorkel tube is constructed as two elastic air hoses (4) which begin from the mouthpiece (2), whereby the individual hoses of the snorkel tube forming the air intake and exit opening (3) are brought together. During use, the individual hoses (4) are guided along both sides of the head of the user starting from the mouthpiece (2) such that the hoses are adjacent to the head, whereby the opening (3) is located at a position on the rear of the head. The longitudinal dimension and the elasticity of the divided air hoses (4), said hoses being brought together in a fastening sleeve (17), are selected such that they provide a firm seating on the head when in use. The hose length adjacent to the head can be varied by the fastening sleeve (17). An attachment part (16) is laterally arranged on each side of the mouthpiece (2). The respective hose end is accommodated in said attachment part in a rotationally moveable manner.
