Preparation of low viscosity aqueous dispersion

Preparation of a low viscosity aqueous dispersion involves using a seed polymer(s) and a component comprising a water-soluble salt which does not act as an initiator or surface active material. Preparation of a low viscosity aqueous dispersion comprises radically emulsion polymerizing monomers in the presence of a polymerization initiator(s), a surface active material(s) and a seed polymer(s). Part of the seed polymer(s) and part of a component comprising a water-soluble salt which does not act as an initiator or surface active material are charged to the reaction. An Independent claim is included for the obtained dispersion.
