METHOD FOR COUNTING MOVEMENTS OF A TOOL AND ARRAY FOR SAID METHOD

The invention relates to a method for counting the movements of a tool, using electronic circuits, wherein additive counting is carried out by means of a cycle counter (I) serving as a guarantee counter and parallel substractive counting is conducted with a preset counter (II) to control the number of pieces to be processed. It is also possible to use the cycle counter (I) or the preset counter (II) separately. Counting with the preset counter (II) is set to a desired cycle status by means of an infrared hand-held emitter (III) until said counter is reset once again. The inventive method is arranged in such a way that a cycle counter (I) and a preset counter (III) with an infrared hand-held emitter (III) are provided for each tool. Optionally, a single preset counter (II) is provided for an individual tool (n=10), having a single infrared hand-held emitter (III).
