A noise proofing system (1) forming a wall beside a road or runway is constructed from two or more removable noise proofing panels (5) mounted on concrete blocks (2) and supported by posts (11). The panels comprise at least one noise damping element (6) and at least one transparent element (7), enabling a person standing on one side of the wall to be able to see through to the other side. The noise damping elements can be rotated about a central axis, or they can be simultaneously rotatable and slid in an accordion-type arrangement. |
