The outlet valve for a cistern has the lifting mechanism (4) at the overflow pipe (3) area. The base valve (2) is held open during flushing by a retainer (5) controlled by a float. For a full flushing action, the first float (50) alone controls the retainer. For partial flushing, a second float (60) is activated over the first float so that, at the end of the partial flushing, it acts on the first float (50) to release the retainer which holds the base valve open. |
