PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the display control of sentences for which a vertically written sentence and a horizontally written sentence coexist by displaying the leading row to final row of the vertically written sentence in a direction from the left to the right of a display screen. SOLUTION: A user selects a document to be displayed by an operation part 3 and instructs the display of the document and one character is read from the document stored in a control part 2 or a document storage part 4. Whether or not the read character is a line feed code is judged by the control part 2, and when the read character is the line feed code, a cursor is moved to the head of the next row on the right and the processing of the document is ended. Also, when the read character is not the line feed code, whether or not the present position of the cursor is the row end of the display screen is judged by the control part 2, and when the position of the cursor is the row end by the judgement, the cursor is moved to the head of the next row on the right and the processing of the document is ended. |
