The clasp consists of a locking flap (8) which is articulated about a transverse axis and able to occupy two positions - open and closed, while being spring-loaded towards the second position. The flap's pivot is in two sliding and coaxial spring-loaded sections (8a, 9a), the inner one having a tip (d) which projects into a hole in a side-piece (3b) at one side of the flap and a hole which receives a fixing screw (11) inserted through a side-piece (3a) on the opposite side.The clasp is closed by engaging a plate (5) with a hooked end (5a) round a transverse rod on the opposite section of the strap and then closing the locking flap over it
