PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration method and device which can conduct calibration with high precision, using a reference object on which a square grid pattern with a size large enough to attain precise production is drawn. SOLUTION: A flat plate 5 on which a square grid pattern is drawn is positioned in the identical space of two cameras 1, 2 and a theodolite 4. The size of the flat plate 5 is different from that of a conventional flat plate, for example, approx. 1.5 m×1 m. The size of the flat plate is small, therefore, a precise square grid pattern can be drawn. The theodolite 4 measures the three-dimensional coordinate position of the flat plates 5 located at least two positions. Calibration is conducted using image data obtained from the square grid pattern shot by the two cameras 1, 2, and the three-dimensional coordinate position measured by the theodolite 4. |
