<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cabin type monorail which move cabins suspended from a rail with high efficiency, without lowering its speed or stopping it even at a slanted part. SOLUTION: To the ceiling surface 1a of a tubular rail 1, exciting coils are fitted at specified intervals ranging over in the longitudinal direction of the rail 1. And cabins 8 are suspended downwards from the rail 1 by shafts 11 inserted into slits in the bottom part 1b of the rail 1 from running substances 6 provided with bodies 61 and wheels 62. To the upper surfaces of the bodies 61, permanent magnets 5 are fitted. The permanent magnets 5 constitute a magnet-type synchronous linear motor together with the field coils, and the running substances 6 run along the rail 1. By the cabins 8 which move with the running substances 6, human bodies 16 in chairs 17 are transported. Since attraction is performed by the permanent magnets and the field coils above them, it becomes possible to reduce power by gravity reduction, and to reduce the size of the wheels and the rail.</p> |
