<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the pressure loss of a water passage by providing a spiral type water passage in the water passage structure of a metallic water-cooled panel which is installed on a side wall of a metallurgical furnace and passes cooling water in the inner water passage. SOLUTION: A metallic water-cooled panel 1 is W in width, and H in height, and the water-cooled panel 1 is preferably cast of copper excellent in heat conductivity. A water inlet 3 and a water outlet 4 are provided on the water- cooled panel 1, the cooling water to be fed from the water inlet 3 is passed through a water passage 2, and discharged from the water outlet 4. The water- cooled panel 1 is provided with the water inlet 3 and the water outlet 4 on the center side of the water-cooled panel 1, the cooling water flows spirally in the water passage 2 from the center side to the outer circumferential side of the water-cooled panel 1, and after reversing on the outer circumferential side, it returns spirally in the water passage 2 from the outer circumferential side to the center side. The pressure loss of the water passage is reduced thereby, and as a result, both the equipment cost and the operation cost can be reduced.</p> |
