<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the penetration of a foreign matter into a battery box to ensure the safety, and provide satisfactory ventilating property within the battery box by forming a box for housing a number of batteries by a base part for placing the batteries and a cover part, and forming a number of holes in the cover part. SOLUTION: A battery box 4 is formed of a base part 21 and a cover part 22, and a number of batteries 20 are arranged on the base part 21 through a support 25 and a retainer 26, and fixed thereto. The cover part 22 is formed of a frame 28 formed into a box frame and a cover plate 29 mounted on each surface by a bolt 32. A number of holes 30 are provided on the cover plate 29 to enhance the ventilating property within the battery box 4, and formed into a size such that a small foreign matter or the finger of a man does not pass. Thus, it can be avoided that the battery box 4 is filled with a heat to raise the internal temperature, and the risk of the terminal part of the battery 20 being short-circuited can be eliminated.</p> |
