<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processor for further quickly transmitting a picture with high picture quality. SOLUTION: Whether an original picture inputted from a scanner part 11 or the like is characters or patterns is discriminated by an attribute discriminating part 12 for each picture element, and division information is outputted to a two layer dividing part 13, and outputted as the data of a division information plane to a resolution converting part 15. The two layer dividing part 13 divides the original picture into a character information plane and a pattern information plane based on the division information. The resolution converting part 15 is provided with plural resolution converting means. A transmission attribute information recognizing part 14 independently selects the resolution converting means for each plane based on transmission attribute information inputted from the outside part. The resolution converting part 15 converts each plane into resolution by the selected resolution converting means. Each resolution converted plane is formatted by a picture format wrapping part 16, and transmitted from a transmitting part 17 through a network 2.</p> |
