PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder efficiently judging the driving state of a driving motor without causing an increase in the manufacturing cost of a device and the complication of a constitution. SOLUTION: A CPU 5 compares a voltage differenceΔV between a resistor R1 connected to a thermistor temperature detecting sensor 7 and the resistor R2 connected to the thermistor temperature detecting sensor 8 with an arbitrary voltage differenceΔV0 between the resistor R1 and the resistor R2 obtained when the driving motor 4 executes normal actuation, and when the voltage differenceΔV is larger than the arbitrary voltage differenceΔV0 , the actuating state of the driving motor 4 is judged as normal, and on the other hand when the voltage differenceΔV does not reach the arbitrary voltage differenceΔV0 , the actuating state of the driving motor 4 is judged as abnormal.
