PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an exchangeable component which holds a printing (storage) medium and to turn it to the latest information of a printer and test printing data, every time the component is exchanged by providing an information storage means in the exchangeable component and storing the test printing data in the nonvolatile storage means of the exchangeable component holding the printing medium. SOLUTION: An image processing part I/F 602 receives image bit map image data sent from the printing part I/F 407 of an image processing part 400. A printing data buffer 603 stores printing bit map image data to be printed in a printing part 605. A cartridge EEPROM 604 holds the test printing data of the latest information of a laser printer and the printing bit map image data. The printing part 605 prints the printing bit map image data stored in the printing data buffer 603 or the printing bit map image data for a test held in the cartridge EEPROM 604 on the sheet of paper. |
