The towel-holder (2) is in two parts, ie. a plastics fixture part (3) to which is detachably joined a holder arm (4). At least part of the edges (3f) of the fixture part, which define the surface resting against the back (5) of the wash-basin (1), are in contact with at least one wall (10) or ridge of the wash-basin at right angles to the back (5).The fixture part is in the form of a clamp with two clamping jaws (3c,d) holding the fixture end of the holder arm. The two clamping jaws together form a hole (3b) holding the arm fixture end. A non-slip plastics underlay (9) is positioned between the back of the wash-basin and the fixture part of the towel holder
