PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cell which discharges at a higher rate from reverse charging, by connecting a reverse-biased diode in parallel to the faster discharging cell, and causing the diode to bypass the faster discharging cell preventing a current to flow into the faster discharging cell after it has discharged. SOLUTION: Though both batteries C1 and C2 discharge finally until time ends, the battery C1 discharges wholly before the battery C2, because of additional discharge through the resistor R1 of the battery C1. If the battery C1 is discharged wholly, it starts to be charged in the reverse direction, and its voltage becomes a negative value. Here, a diode D1 is forward-biased against the battery C1 and becomes in continuity, and the current evades the battery C1 and passes the bypass. Besides, an apparatus circuit cuts the connection between lines A and B by a switch SW, since there is not the necessity of discharging the battery C1 any more. |
