<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the control precision and the reliability. SOLUTION: A recording head 11 and a reproducing head 12 are arranged in the running direction of a magnetic tape 10 with a prescribed amount of separation. The head 11 records magnetic tape running speed control pulse signals on the tape and the head 12 reproduces the recorded signals. A phase error data detecting circuit 6 detects the deviation of the magnetic tape running speed control pulse signals actually reproduced by the head 12 with respect to the magnetic tape running speed control pulse signals, which are reproduced assuming the tape runs at a prescribed speed. The rotational speed of a motor 50, which drives reel shafts, is compensated for so that the deviation becomes zero.</p> |
