PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the video telephone system by which menu display is changed by the operation from an opposite device without the operation of the WWW browser by the user itself by providing a remote control means by which the WWW browser display menu is remotely controlled by the opposite device connected to a wide area network. SOLUTION: A serial device driver 173 receives a URL sent from a remote controller 104, a protocol stack 180 converts the protocol of the URL, and the result is given to an additional function processing task 153. The additional function processing task 153 gives the received URL to a command queue 162 as an HTML file load command to a WWW browser task 152. The WWW browser task 152 extracts data from the command queue 162 and loads the designated HTML file. The processing with respect to the HTML file load command is integrated into the WWW browser task 152, then the WWW browser display menu is remotely controlled. |
