摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively detect reflection echoes from a vertical flaw even if a probe gap is small when detecting the flaw of a thick body to be inspected based on the tandem method. SOLUTION: A first oblique angle probe 41 is brought into contact with a surface 1a of a body 1 to be inspected so that ultrasonic waves can be transmitted or received, at the same time a vertical ultrasonic wave is converted to a horizontal ultrasonic wave in terms of mode and a second oblique angle probe 42 is brought into contact so that ultrasonic waves can be received or transmitted for an arrival location when a vertical ultrasonic wave being emitted from a surface 1a, namely the first oblique angle probe 41 is reflected from an opposite surface 1b and is reflected from an orthogonal surface 1c, and ultrasonic waves are transmitted or ultrasonic echoes are detected through the first oblique angle probe 41 or ultrasonic echoes are detected or ultrasonic waves are transmitted via the second oblique angle probe 42.
