PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the occurrence of paper wrinkles and that of the abnormal rising of temperature at the inside of a machine by providing a cooling member to cool a fixing member by coming into contact with at least either of the paper non- feeding parts of the fixing member and an attaching/detaching means to attach/detach the cooling member to/from the fixing member. SOLUTION: A cooling roller 33 is arranged so as to come into contact with the part other than the part for running transfer paper of a thermal fixing roller. The cooling roller 33 is moved in parallel with the shaft direction of the thermal fixing roller 31 by a moving means 35 in the state of being separated from the thermal fixing roller 31 by the attaching/detaching means 34 in accordance with the size of running transfer paper 12, and in the case that the part to be the paper non-feeding part is caused, or in the case that the part requiring temperature correction exist, it is brought into contact with only the part. A temperature difference between a paper feeding part 31a and the paper non-feeding part 31b is reduced, so that the abnormal temperature rising of the paper non-feeding part 31b of the thermal fixing roller 31 is prevented, and the occurrence of the paper wrinkles and that of the abnormal rising of the temperature at the inside of the machine are surely prevented. |
