PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or cancel the pushing pressure applied to an electronic components chip pushed out to a chip chucking position from its succeeding electronic components chip in a chip feeder. SOLUTION: In a chip feeder 10, a chip-carrying path 14 is provided so that the path 14 is extended to a vacuum chuck stage 18 which is positioned adjacent to a carrying belt 16 on the outside of the belt 16 from the belt 16, and the belt 16 is moved forward by a length which is longer than the length of one electronic chip part 12 in the feeding direction by means of a ratchet wheel mechanism 20, and then, moved slightly backward. Since the chip 12 which is pushed out to the chip chucking position on the stage 18 is not moved backward by the belt 16, the chip 12 is separated from its succeeding electronic component chip 12 or the pushing pressure applied to the chip 12 from the succeeding chip 12 is reduced. |
