PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate an expensive ball screw and a linear scale, etc., being currently used and to increase the positioning accuracy of a moving optical fiber by a simple mechanism in the optical switch mechanically changing over an optical fiber. SOLUTION: An optical reflection part 30 is provided on the upper surface of a ridge 15 between V grooves in a V groove substrate 12. The optical reflection part 30 acts as the graduation of an optical linear scale. Namely, an optical sensor 38 moved together with a moving optical fiber counts a number of the reflection parts 30 and positions it. By forming an optical reflection part 30 on the front surface of each optical fiber 16 on the fixed side or, on the contrary, making the whole surface of the V groove substrate optically reflective, dark color parts are preferably formed in the optical fiber 16 on the fixed side and they may be counted. |
