PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical scanner capable of preventing the remarkable rise of a temperature in a space where a rotary polygon mirror is provided while securing the dust proofing property of the polygon mirror and suppressing noises due to a wind whistle generated by the high speed rotation of the polygon mirror. SOLUTION: The inside of an optical casing 1 is divided into a rotary polygon mirror storing part 30 where a rotary polygon mirror 3 is provided and an optical system storing part 40 where an optical system 4 is provided through a wall 5, the wall 5 is constituted of a recessed member 5a and a projected member 5b and the both members 5a, 5b are engaged with each other through a gap 6 so that air can go in and out between the both storing parts 30, 40 through the gap 6. |
