PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooker capable of executing a proper heating process by distinguishing the material of a heated object and detecting no load securely without damaging circuit components by an excessive current. SOLUTION: A distinguishing means 25 monitors an input current from an input current detecting means 21 and an operating frequency from a frequency detecting means 23 while controlling the output voltage of an inverter driving circuit 11 so as to change the phase difference between the phase of the output voltage of the inverter driving circuit 11 and the phase of the voltage of a resonant capacitor 15 from an inductive condition to the resonant point slowly by controlling a phase control means 19; in the case that the input current flows more than a predetermined value (I0 ), it is decided that the skin resistance of a heated object 17 is low when the operating frequency is more than FA, the skin resistance of a heated object 17 is high when the operating frequency is more than FN and less than FA, and there is no load when the operating frequency is less than FN. |
