PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only update display contents according to the use of the card, but also improve the reliability of the display contents, and to facilitate the rewriting of data. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 12 which uses ferroelectric high- polymer liquid crystal is fixed to the card base material 10a of the IC card 10. An IC chip 17 as the single-chip microcontroller unit of an IC module 11 arranged in the card base material 10a is provided with a memory for data and a CPU which updates the data in the data memory according to transmission from an external device. The CPU is provided with the function of an LCD controller which displays information corresponding to the data recorded in the data memory on an LCD 12. The display contents of the LCD 12 are updated associatively as data are written or added to the data memory. |
