摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of maximum levels which can be displayed without increasing the number of dots. SOLUTION: Each unit dot matrix 114 is formed by arranging the phosphor dots of a fluorescent display tube in a matrix form. Then, under control by a microcomputer, by being headed by dot rows 4, 6 at the left end of the unit dot matrix 2 at the left end, bars 12, 14 going up to, for example, dot rows 8 and 10 are displayed, respectively and the lengths of the bars 12 and 14 are set according to the right and left sound pressure levels in an audio device, respectively. In such a case, only the dot 16 at the center or all the dots 116 (three dots) are selectively lighted on in the dot rows 8, 10 in accordance with the levels to be displayed. Therefore, two steps of the levels can be shown by a single dot row and the number of the maximum levels capable of being displayed becomes double of conventional one.
