The invention refers to a unit for pneumatic tightening for tipping and for limited rotation in vertical plane, as well as for the transport of a series of nozzles with a view to grinding their tip on a tip grinding machine. The unit, according to the invention, includes a main jaw [A], provided with a support plate [13] for the magnetic rod which carries the series of nozzles with a view to sharpening their tips, a mobile jaw [B], means for limited tipping of the main jaw [A] in the vertical plane, in front of the grinding stone and for limited tipping, in order to achieve the primary angle of sharpening and the secondary one, as a means for tightening the mobile jaw [B], as a means for limited rotation of the nozzles in order to obtain the lateral angles of chamfering of the tip of the nozzle, and a device for indexing [F] the median position of the supporting plate [13]. In the vertical plane, in front of the grinding stone, two intermediary supports [C] are provided, fixed to the mobile table of the grinding machine by two inclined wedges, an upper [36] and a lower, adjustable one, [37] which by displacement in one direction or another, raises and respectively lowers the support [C] with bolts and nuts [38, 39]; the main jaw is fixed with left-right bushings in the two intermediary supports [C] and is provided, in its central lower portion with an extension [K] with a fork-shaped end, between whose arms [1] a roll [33] is fixed through the intermediation of an axle [34].
