This invention relates to a process for the production of polyurethane molded article by the reaction injection molding (RIM) technique. This process comprises injecting a reaction mixture comprising a (cyclo)aliphatic polyisocyanate component having an NCO functionality of from 2.3 to 4.0 and an isocyanate-reactive component in the presence of a catalyst composition in a closed mold, allowing the reaction mixture to fully react and removing the molded article from the mold. Suitable catalyst compositions for the present invention comprise one or more tin carboxylates or tin halides, and one or more chelating polyamines.
