The synthetic string comprises a core of monofilaments (3) having an oblong cross-section with one or more flat sides, surrounded by circular monofilaments (4) and enclosed by spiral-wound multi-filaments (2) and a binding agent (1). The melting point of the binding agent is lower than that of the multi-filaments, and it has a much higher breaking strain. The string has two oblong monofilaments of 2200 decitex, four round ones of 380 decitex and four multifilaments with 140 filaments, each filament having a diameter of 28 microns. The assembly has a twist of 80 turns per meter. |
