摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mass-produce a solid electrolyte secondary battery having high energy density and low internal resistance. SOLUTION: A spiral electrode 10 comprising a belt-like positive electrode 1 and a belt like negative electrode 2 using a lithium storage compound, and a separator 3 is contained in a battery can 15, insulation plates 16a, 16b are provided on both up and down faces of the electrode 10, a positive electrode lead 17 is led out from a positive electrode collector and is welded to a battery lid 18, and a negative electrode lead 19 is led out of a negative electrode collector and is welded to a battery can 15. Nonaqueous electrolyte containing a thermal polymerization initiator and a polymerizing compound are permeated into the battery can 15 by reduced pressure immersion. By caulking the battery can 15 via an insulative sealing gasket 21, an safety valve device 22 and the battery lid 18 are fixed so as to maintain airtightness in the battery. Thereafter, the nonaqueous electrolyte is heated under a predetermined condition so as to form an electrolyte layer to make a cylindrical solid electrolyte battery 20.
