PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to exactly reproduce high-density recorded data in formation of pits by a simple process. SOLUTION: This optical disk is formed with the pits formed in accordance with recording data by alternately changing prescribed quantity shifts to one and the other from the central line of tracks (or alternately changing the depths of the pits in the clock unit synchronized with the recording data) in the clock unit synchronized with the recording data. The reproducing device for such optical disk has a sum signal processing means for discriminating the state of the sum signal of the detection signal of the return light of the light beam cast to the optical disk, a differential signal processing means for discriminating the state of the differential signal and a synthesizing means for synthesizing the discrimination data of the sum signal discriminated by the respective means and the discrimination data of the differential signal. |
